It’s the end of November, the beginning of the ending of another year. While you’re getting up from a fog of Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals, I hope you’ll join me to start reflecting on what you want in 2021. These questions will help you begin the process of positive change.
- What am I most afraid of?
- If I wasn’t afraid of that, what would I do differently or how would my life look different?
- What have I learned about myself this year?
- What do I want to learn in 2021?
- If I could have a doover what would it be?
- What pattern do I keep seeing or what do I keep hearing about that makes me intrigued?
- What am I longing to do?
- What am I waiting to get permission for before I start the thing I really want to do?
- If I am exactly where I am doing the very same thing that I’m doing at the end of next year, how will I feel?
- When did I last feel sublimely happy, joyful and carefree? What was I doing and why did I feel this way? Is there anything about that time in my life that I can recreate now?
- Is there any part of my true self that I miss dearly and have lost along the way from the stress and demands of adulthood?
- Who am I living my life for? And do I want to keep living it for them?
- Whose voice do I hear when I begin working towards my dreams?
- What would an older wiser version of me say about how I’ve been living my life?
- What is my greatest regret?
- What am I most proud of?
- What is something people found annoying about me as a kid? Could it be a strength now?
- Who did I want to be when I grew up?
- What stopped me?
- What would I tell a close friend who was afraid to fulfill their dreams?
These are questions I often ask my coaching clients. See if it can open the door to a gentle shift towards the change you’ve been dreaming of in 2021.
