I’m writing this at a weird time. Following the Maui wildfires, everything happening in Gaza, and now a wildfire in my neck of the woods in Mililani. It’s a topsy turvy world we live in. And it’s been hard to write here because my inspiration well has gone dry.
A INFJ and HSP at heart, the world’s issues have hit me hard. Writing and coaching have taken a backseat to finding ways to manage everything we’re all dealing with as well as my own health.
The one way that’s helped me is to remember that I too have a calling and that I can use whatever skills I have to help.
I feel an urgency to do what I can to heal the earth. I’ve been searching for ways to do so for years. In addition to working on a picture book about a tree, I’ve also took a class from Terra.Do on climate careers.
Recently, I took a blogging job with The Environmental Career Coach. And it just so happens that I saw this amazing new resource on LinkedIn. If you’re searching for ways to help the environment in your current job or completely transition, this is a great hardy starting point. There is information on everything from how to do your resume as well as interviews and advice from career coaches.
You can access the playbook here.
I hope this is helpful! And as you see, content here is kind of sporadic and everything you’re not supposed to do to be successful. But I am writing from my heart. And this is my most pressing issue.
I truly believe that we are all mirrors to the environment. The earth isn’t outside of us. It is apart of who we are. All the chronic illnesses coming out now. All the pain and suffering is due to our lack of awareness of that. We cannot hurt the earth without it affecting us.
