In Celebration of Fall

I wrote this poem in 2007, but wanted to bring it to life. Read it and interpret it as you will. But to me, it represents the fleetingness of nature and also the ephemeralness of life.

As a writer, it also symbolizes our desire to create something lasting that will remain even as we sigh with a last breath. But like the waves remove impressions on the sand, there is an understanding that it will also be submersed with time.

It’s just a short little poem, a haiku if you will. One to digest in small pieces and to enjoy like the changing seasons.
