UpDaTe: One more gift came in. Scroll down to see how I used leftover craft paper and tissue to wrap the last gift.
Well I finally caught up to all my Christmas tasks. I blame it on the Hawaii culture. Makes me slow and unmotivated.
But seriously, I’ve been shamefully slacking. Thank goodness I stirred up enough energy to finally finish wrapping all of my gifts and finishing up my DIY November and December calendars. Up first, the two winter months I’ve been procrastinating:
Then there were more Christmas presents. A lot more. Minus enough Christmas packages and ribbon, which meant a lot of head scratching, ho humming and packing. It was a regular Santa’s workshop up in here.
Solution? I ended up using scrapbook stickers that mimicked ribbon and tied two shorter ribbons together for this present. I also used stickers to personalize the gift and reused tissue as wrapping paper.
When things got down to the wire and there was only the ribbon used to tie our curtains left, I cut it in half, reused more tissue and a piece of cardboard as a gift tag. Thank goodness it all came together!
In fact, I love the look of tissue. It gives presents a homemade, rustic look don’t you think? {The only thing is that they are a little see-through as you can see here. If this gift was a for a kid, I might have double tissued it like the gift above.}
Overall, there’s nothing fancy schmancy about my wrapping paper. But I love the homemade look all the same. And looking forward to collecting more shiny wrapping this Christmas.
This one made it under the buzzer. Just got it in the mail in the nick of time. Wrapped it up with a few leftover tissue, a piece of leftover craft paper I was saving for a moment like this and scrapbook stickers.
Hope you’re all having a Happy Holiday season!
I appreciate every single one of you. And look forward to interacting with you more next year.
